Goodbye Year 6

What a wonderful year it’s been! Through the ups and downs, trials and tribulations, we have made it and both Foxes and Owls are now ready for Year 7! It’s been a tough journey but one where the children have grown and learned so much. We hope to see all of these wonderful little faces soon and wish them the best in secondary school!

We signed our shirts and our Yearbooks to help immortalise our memories with a little memento to take with us into the future too. And of course, we took a few little selfies!

Oh…. and don’t think we let Mr. B get away without a little prank!  You could say that the class really “turned the tables on him”!

Looking back

Before we finish the year, here a re a few final photos that didn’t quite fit with any of our previous posts! Enjoy! International Day, Kidzania, Maths Market, Maths lessons and much more!

Year 6 Sleepover

Prom wasn’t the only big treat that we had in store to celebrate our passing into secondary school -we had a huge sleepover too! Games, pizza and… of course a HUGE PILLOW FIGHT! Nobody celebrates like FPS!

SATs are finished and the school year is coming to a close. But that just means that it is time to celebrate! As is tradition, we ended our year with a prom and needless to say that the children came dressed to impress – just take a look at this fantastic bunch of superstars!!

SATs Breakfast

This week was SATs week, here at Fulham Primary, but we are not the type to let that get the better of us! We came in early every day to share a breakfast together with our Year 6 family and, as you can see below, start our days with a healthy breakfast and a healthy attitude.

Readers’ Cup Grand Finals

What an amazing evening! Not only did our Readers’ Cup team get another chance to meet the fantastic Abi Elphinstone for a second time, they also managed to score another amazing win and earn the title of 2015-2016 Readers’ Cup Champions! Though the competition was tough, our superstars scored over half of all the available points and even managed to answer a question about one of the books that the author herself could not! Take a look at those huge smiles and wish next year’s team the same success!

Mystery Solved

Even with the SATs looming ahead, we have not narrowed our focus completely. Our budding authors have been hard at work, planning and writing some fantastic murder mysteries with the help of Mousetrap Theatre and the fantastic Robin Stevens (Author of the “Murder Most Unladylike” series), culminating in a trip to see The Mousetrap at the St. Martin’s Theatre in London. Some of our best authors even won prizes from the cast for their fantastic writing and were invited on stage alongside the winners from the other schools involved.

Readers Cup Regional Preliminaries

What a whirlwind! It may have only been our first entry into the competition but what an entrance we made: First place! Winning almost half of the points, the first ever Fulham Primary School Readers’ Cup team progressed straight to the Finals! Well done children and good luck in the finals!

IntoUniversity Focus Week

What a week over at the Star Centre! The fantastic IntoUniversity team took us through all manner of team building exercises as they taught us about being aspirational and the opportunities that university can afford us all. Look out for us in all the big university prospecti in a few years!

Playing with periscopes

As part of our studies on light, we’ve been dabbling in some cross curricular creativity – making these fantastic periscopes! Take a look while we take a look!

It’s that time of the year…. School Journey! And it can only mean one thing: We are going to the farm!

What an adventure it’s been! The class has matured so much as they’ve developed independence, resilience and team working skills in their time away from their families. It’s been tough but rewarding and needless to say we all had an absolute blast. Just take a look at some of the photos we took while we were out there!
